The Gladstone Room is the principal wedding space at South Lodge, and it has the quality that the best ceremony and reception rooms share: it's grand enough to feel genuinely special, but the triple-aspect windows and natural light pouring through them keep it from feeling stiff. The high ceilings, the chandeliers, the sense of occasion — all of it translates beautifully on camera, particularly when the room fills with guests and the warmth of the day takes over.

For evening receptions, when that chandelier light becomes the dominant source and the garden darkens beyond the windows, the Gladstone Room produces some of the richest-looking footage we capture at any venue. The outdoor wedding pavilion is South Lodge's most dramatic offering: a dedicated ceremony space with a panoramic view across the South Downs, available in the summer months. Getting married in open air with that landscape behind you is extraordinary on film — the depth of field, the sky, the way the South Downs fill the frame. We always plan carefully for the light when shooting outdoors here.

The 93 acres of parkland also give us genuine freedom for couple portraits — from the formal gardens closest to the house to the wider grounds beyond, there's always somewhere beautiful to be. In autumn the colours across the estate are exceptional.

We work as a two-person team throughout your South Lodge wedding day. At a venue spread across multiple spaces — ceremony room, reception room, pavilion, grounds — two cameras working simultaneously is essential to ensure nothing is missed as the day moves between its different acts. Your finished film includes a 7–9 minute highlights film with licensed music, complete ceremony film, full speeches, first dance in full, and a 1-minute social reel.
