FAQs
How far in advance do we need to book our wedding videographer?
In general, the sooner you book your wedding videographer the better, ideally around 6-12 months before your wedding day. Although our availability will become much more limited the closer it is to your wedding date, it is always worth getting in touch even if you have left it late.
When do we pay for your wedding videography services?
If you choose West Sussex Wedding Videos as your wedding videographers, then after signing the contract we will ask for a 50% deposit to secure our services for the wedding day. The final 50% should be paid 2 weeks before the wedding day.
Do you do wedding photography as well as wedding videography in West Sussex?
At West Sussex Wedding Videos we are trained professionals in film production and therefore only offer wedding videography. However, if you would like suggestions for wedding photographers in addition to our wedding videography services, we would be very happy to refer you to some very talented wedding photographers whom we have experience working with.
Can you work alongside our wedding photographer?
Yes, most often we work alongside your chosen wedding photographers and so far this has always been a very smooth experience. We can work together and around each other so that we both capture the video and photos we need. Our documentary style of shooting means that we will not interrupt any part of your special day. You won't need to worry about us at all, and in fact you'll hardly know we are there.
Can we choose the music for our wedding video?
Couples often ask us if they can use their favourite songs, or music that has a special significance to them in their wedding video. Please be aware that we can only do this if you are able to license the tracks. Usually we use specially licensed music from a high quality music library. Once we have shot the wedding and reviewed the footage we will select a handful of suggestions for you to listen to and choose your favourite.
How will things work on our wedding day?
As your wedding day approaches, we'll get in touch and ask for the detailed running order so that we are in the right place, at the right time to capture all the special moments of your day. On the day itself, we will be very inconspicuous, we won't arrange any specific shots, simply filming everything as it happens naturally. You can be confident that we will capture everything required for your wedding video, so you won't need to think about us - just enjoy your day knowing you’ll be able to relive it whenever you like with our beautifully shot, ultra high definition video (UHD).
When will we receive the completed wedding video?
We aim to deliver your edited video package within 6 weeks after your wedding. We record lot of footage on multiple cameras on the day and it takes time to select and edit the best moments. Once the editing process is finished, we will provide you with a link to the wedding video package, which can be viewed online and shared with your family and friends. If you choose the Platinum package we will also post you an engraved wooden USB stick with all the videos on it.
Do I get the raw footage?
We never provide raw footage. We want to provide our clients with a superbly crafted piece of artwork. The art we create is a combination of the footage we shoot and the editing. In essence, the reason we don’t provide the raw footage is because we believe that the raw footage is not a true representation of our art work or our brand. Its what we do with that raw footage that makes it truly amazing.
Can we meet and talk?
Absolutely! We are happy to chat over a coffee or to visit your venues with you! If you have any ideas, we are happy to hear them.
Do you cover weddings outside of West Sussex?
We are very happy to provide our videography services wherever you are. If your wedding is further afield, we may ask that you cover the cost of travel and potentially accommodation.
Do you have Insurance?
Yes, we have full Public Liability Insurance.
