Wedding Videography at Fitzleroi Barn

Wedding videographer at Fitzleroi Barn, Pulborough. Four ceremony spaces, 400-year-old barn, South Downs meadow. Cinematic films at this beautiful West Sussex venue.

Cinematic Films at a 400-Year-Old West Sussex Barn

Fitzleroi Barn offers something that most wedding venues don't: genuine choice. Four completely different ceremony spaces — the Main Barn, the Long Room, the rose-lined Courtyard, and the open meadow with its South Downs views — each with its own character, its own light, and its own atmosphere on film. The barn itself is over 400 years old. The original oak beams have been here longer than most country houses. And the whole thing is run as one wedding per weekend, with access the day before and the day after, which gives a Fitzleroi wedding a pace and ease that shows in every frame.

We've filmed at Fitzleroi Barn and it's a venue that rewards careful, considered camera work — there's always something worth capturing, always a quality of light doing something interesting in one of those four spaces, always a detail in the ancient timbers that tells the story of where you are.

Four Ceremony Spaces — Four Completely Different Films

The choice of ceremony space at Fitzleroi shapes everything that follows on film, which is part of what makes it such an interesting venue to work in.

The Main Barn — a historic timber-framed space with original beams and capacity for up to 130 guests — has the weight and warmth of a building that has genuinely earned its character over four centuries. The beams overhead, the dancefloor below, the sense of occasion that the space creates without any additional dressing — it is the kind of room that makes a ceremony feel significant.

The Long Room is its counterpart: light-filled, intimate, suited to smaller ceremonies of up to 70 guests. Where the Main Barn is dramatic, the Long Room is tender. The quality of footage from ceremonies in that space is notably different — quieter, more focused on faces and details, more personal.

The Courtyard, rose-lined and framed by the barn doors, brings the outside in and the inside out — a ceremony space with the character of the barn architecture surrounding it and open sky above.

And the Meadow, with its sweeping South Downs views, is the most expansive option: an outdoor ceremony with landscape as backdrop that, on a clear summer's day, is simply stunning.

One Wedding Per Weekend — The Full Run of the Place

Fitzleroi's one-wedding-per-weekend policy, with access from the day before through to the day after, changes the quality of a wedding day in ways that are immediately visible on film. There's no pressure, no adjacent event, no staff watching the clock for someone else's setup. Guests settle in and stay settled. The couple relaxes. The footage reflects all of that.

We work as a two-person team across your entire Fitzleroi wedding day, covering whichever ceremony space you've chosen, through the drinks reception in the courtyard, and into the reception and evening in the Main Barn. Your finished film includes a 7–9 minute highlights film with licensed music, complete ceremony film, full speeches, first dance in full, and a 1-minute social reel. Drone footage over the estate and the South Downs beyond is included subject to weather and venue permissions.

Frequently Asked Questions — Filming at Fitzleroi Barn

Have you filmed at Fitzleroi Barn before?

Yes — we've filmed at Fitzleroi and know the venue well.

Can you film whichever ceremony space we choose?

Absolutely — we plan our camera positions for whichever of the four spaces you use. Each requires a slightly different approach. The Main Barn and Long Room are interior spaces where light management is important; the Courtyard and Meadow are outdoor environments where we work with the natural light and South Downs backdrop. All four produce beautiful results.

Is the meadow a good option for outdoor ceremonies on film?

It's one of our favourite outdoor ceremony settings in West Sussex. The South Downs views as backdrop, combined with the natural light of an open meadow, give outdoor Fitzleroi ceremonies a quality and depth that indoor settings can't replicate. On a clear day it's exceptional.

Can you film drone footage at Fitzleroi?

We hold full CAA commercial drone permissions and will confirm access with the venue. The aerial view over Fitzleroi's grounds, the barn, and the South Downs beyond is beautiful.

Which package suits a Fitzleroi wedding?

Most couples choose our Platinum Package at £1,800 — two videographers, full day coverage, highlights film, ceremony, speeches, first dance, drone footage, and social reel. The Diamond upgrade extending the highlights to 14–18 minutes suits couples who want a fuller narrative across all four of Fitzleroi's distinct spaces.

How early should we book?

Fitzleroi runs one wedding per weekend and books well in advance, particularly for summer dates. We'd recommend securing your videography 9–12 months ahead.
