Wedding Videography at
Two Woods Estate
Wedding videographer at Two Woods Estate, Pulborough. Cinematic films in West Sussex's only redwood grove wedding venue. We've filmed at this remarkable place.
Cinematic Films in the Redwoods
There is nowhere in West Sussex — arguably nowhere in England — quite like Two Woods Estate. Tucked into 42 acres of ancient woodland near Pulborough, this extraordinary venue offers something that should not, by rights, exist in the Sussex countryside: a wedding ceremony beneath over 100 towering California Redwood trees, their trunks rising like the columns of a natural cathedral, light filtering through the canopy from above. If you are getting married at Two Woods, you already know you've chosen somewhere completely unlike anywhere else. The film we make for you will reflect that.

We've filmed at Two Woods Estate and it left an impression that stays with you. The scale of those trees. The quality of the light through the canopy. The way the forest holds a silence that makes the ceremony feel both intimate and monumental at once. It is, as a filming environment, unlike anything else we work in.

The Redwood Grove — West Sussex's Most Extraordinary Ceremony Space
The centrepiece of Two Woods is the redwood grove — a licensed ceremony space nestled among more than 100 Californian Redwoods, available year-round. The trees create what the venue rightly calls a natural cathedral effect: the canopy high above, the trunks forming the walls, the filtered light falling through in shafts that shift as the day moves. It is genuinely one of the most beautiful ceremony environments we've ever filmed in.

For us as videographers, the grove presents a wonderful challenge. The light is complex — dappled, directional, constantly moving — and the scale of the trees demands wide, considered framing. Our Sony Cinema Line cameras handle the contrast between bright canopy light and deeper shadow beautifully, producing footage that feels immersive and cinematic rather than flat. When this works well — and it does, every time — it is some of the most visually arresting ceremony footage we produce all year.

Should the weather turn, there is a licensed indoor ceremony space in the barn, which means the redwood experience is available all year without the anxiety of an uncovered outdoor ceremony.

The Barn, Orangery and Beyond
The newly renovated barn and covered orangery — looking over the woodland garden — give the reception a warmth and character that complements the drama of the ceremony without competing with it. The barn seats up to 100 for the wedding breakfast; the orangery looks out over the garden and lets the woodland in even when you're inside.

The wild meadow, the firepit, the glamping setup for guests who want to extend the night — these are the details that make Two Woods feel less like a venue booking and more like a whole experience. For us, they're also details that make for exceptional evening footage: fire, stars, woodland, the natural atmosphere of people completely relaxed and at ease.

Two Videographers Through Every Act
Two Woods is a venue of many distinct moments — the arrival through the woodland, the ceremony in the grove, the drinks in the meadow, the reception in the barn, the evening around the fire. Two videographers working simultaneously is the only way to capture every thread of that as it happens.

We work quietly through your day, positioned before each moment begins, moving with the day rather than against it. Everything in your film will be real — the atmosphere of that grove, the reactions of your guests, the particular quality of light through those trees. That is not something you can stage.

Your finished film includes a 7–9 minute highlights film with licensed music, complete ceremony film, full speeches, first dance in full, and a 1-minute social reel. Drone footage over the woodland estate and the West Sussex countryside beyond is included subject to weather and venue permissions — the 42-acre estate from altitude, surrounded by ancient woodland, is remarkable.

Frequently Asked Questions — Filming at Two Woods Estate
Have you filmed at Two Woods Estate before?
Yes — we've filmed at Two Woods and know the venue well. You can see examples of our work filmed there below.

How do you handle the complex light inside the redwood grove?
The grove's dappled, shifting canopy light is one of the most interesting — and demanding — environments we film in. We use Sony Cinema Line cameras precisely because they handle high-contrast, mixed-light environments without losing detail in either the bright canopy or the deeper shadow. The result is footage that feels true to what the grove actually looks and feels like, rather than a flattened or overexposed version of it.

What happens if it rains during an outdoor ceremony in the grove?
Two Woods has a licensed indoor ceremony space in the barn, which means you have a genuine fallback without sacrificing the character of the venue. We plan for both options so we're positioned and ready regardless of which space you end up using.

Can you film drone footage over the woodland estate?
We hold full CAA commercial drone permissions and will confirm access with the venue. The aerial view over 42 acres of ancient West Sussex woodland — with the estate's clearings and the wider countryside beyond — is one of the most striking drone sequences we capture anywhere.

Is the bridal loft a good space to film preparations?
Yes — the loft's vintage, bespoke character and natural light make it a genuinely lovely space for morning preparation filming. It's the kind of room where the details tell a story before the day has even begun.

Which package suits a Two Woods wedding?
Most couples choose our Platinum Package at £1,800 — two videographers, full day coverage, highlights film, ceremony, speeches, first dance, drone footage, and social reel. Given the richness of the Two Woods experience, the Diamond upgrade extending the highlights to 14–18 minutes gives every act of the day the screen time it deserves.

How early should we book?
Two Woods books up well in advance, particularly for spring and summer dates when the grove is at its most spectacular. We'd recommend securing your videography 9–12 months ahead.
