Midhurst and Petworth sit in one of West Sussex's most beautiful corners β€” rolling countryside, historic market towns, and some genuinely impressive wedding venues within easy reach of both. Whether you're getting married at Upwaltham Barns, Grittenham Barn, or another venue in the area, you need a wedding videographer who understands this part of the county and knows how to make the most of what it offers. We're West Sussex Wedding Videos, based in Chichester, and we film regularly across Midhurst, Petworth, and the wider Mid-Sussex countryside.

Filming Midhurst & Petworth Weddings

Midhurst and Petworth are surrounded by some of West Sussex's most distinctive countryside venues. Upwaltham Barns, nestled in the South Downs just outside Petworth, offers a beautifully converted East Barn with floor-to-ceiling windows looking out toward the Downs, a warm South Barn for reception, and a wildflower meadow at golden hour that consistently produces exceptional footage. Grittenham Barn near Petworth brings its own character β€” a converted timber-frame barn with exposed beams, open grounds, and the kind of rustic-elegant aesthetic that films beautifully in any light.

We arrive at every Midhurst and Petworth wedding having planned around the specific qualities of your venue β€” the light, the layout, the portrait spots β€” so nothing on the day is left to chance.

Frequently Asked Questions β€” Midhurst & Petworth Weddings

Do you film at both Upwaltham Barns and Grittenham Barn?

Yes β€” we know both venues well. Upwaltham in particular is one of our favourite West Sussex locations. Visit our dedicated venue pages for more detail on how we approach filming at each.

Do you cover the Petworth area as well as Midhurst?

Yes β€” Midhurst and Petworth are very close together and both sit well within our regular filming area. No additional travel fees apply to either location.

How far in advance should we book for a Midhurst or Petworth wedding?

We recommend getting in touch 6–12 months before your wedding date, particularly for summer Saturdays. Venues in this area book up well in advance, and we tend to fill up alongside them.
