Wedding Videography at Bignor Park

Wedding videographer at Bignor Park, Pulborough. Cinematic films on this 1,100-acre South Downs estate — just 12 weddings a year. A truly extraordinary setting.

Cinematic Films on an Extraordinary South Downs Estate

Bignor Park takes exclusivity seriously. Just twelve weddings a year. One thousand, one hundred acres of privately owned estate at the foot of the South Downs. Exclusive use of the entire property for the full weekend, with access two days beforehand to make it properly yours. And at the centre of it all, the Greek Loggia — a classical stone porch beneath which you exchange your vows, your guests seated on the lawn in front of you, surrounded by formal gardens, with the South Downs rising behind. There is nowhere in West Sussex quite like it, and there is nothing on film quite like a Bignor Park wedding.

We've filmed at Bignor Park and the footage consistently stops people in their tracks. The scale of the estate, the extraordinary architectural contrast of the Greek Loggia against the English countryside, the Zen pond and Temple, the 200-year-old Stables — it is a venue of genuinely rare visual richness, and it rewards the kind of careful, unhurried camera work that an exclusive one-wedding-at-a-time policy makes possible.

The Greek Loggia — Utterly Unlike Any Other Ceremony in West Sussex

The Greek Loggia is Bignor Park's centrepiece and it is genuinely one of a kind. A classical stone porch, architecturally distinct from every barn, ballroom, and country house we film in across the county — your guests seated on the lawn in front of you with the formal gardens and South Downs as their view, and yours as your backdrop. Up to 150 guests can be accommodated on the lawn, and the visual scale of that — the open sky, the landscape, the stone columns framing the couple — produces ceremony footage of a quality and character that nothing else in West Sussex comes close to.

For us as videographers, the Loggia presents a beautiful challenge. The light is open and directional, the depth of field is extraordinary, and the relationship between the architectural foreground and the landscape beyond creates a natural cinematic composition that requires very little intervention. We simply position ourselves correctly and let it happen.

The Stables, the South Lawn, and the Gardens

The 200-year-old Stables — a rustic suite of rooms, courtyard, and quadrangle — form the heart of the reception. With space for around 100 inside and the quadrangle, and up to 150 in the courtyard marquee, the Stables have the kind of aged, honest character that the Main Barn at Fitzleroi has — nothing manufactured, nothing dressed up to look old. The stone and timber have been here since the 1820s and they look it, in the best possible way.

The South Lawn, with drinks in front of Bignor Park House, is another distinct act in the day — the house as backdrop, the formal gardens on either side, the estate stretching away in every direction. The Zen pond and Temple offer a quieter, more contemplative portrait setting that very few wedding venues anywhere can match. The Croquet Lawn, with capacity for 250 in a tipi or marquee, opens up the estate even further for evening celebrations.

Twelve Weddings a Year — The Rarest Kind of Day

Bignor Park's limit of twelve weddings per year is not just a selling point — it is a philosophy. It means the team there knows your wedding specifically, not generically. It means the estate is yours without compromise. And it means that when you watch your film back, the day it documents was genuinely, entirely one of a kind.

We work as a two-person team across your full Bignor Park weekend, from bridal preparations through to the last dance under the Sussex sky. Your finished film includes a 7–9 minute highlights film with licensed music, complete ceremony film, full speeches, first dance in full, and a 1-minute social reel. Drone footage over the 1,100-acre estate and the South Downs is included subject to weather and venue permissions — from altitude, Bignor Park is one of the most spectacular settings we film anywhere in the county.

Frequently Asked Questions — Filming at Bignor Park

Have you filmed at Bignor Park before?

Yes — we've filmed at Bignor Park and know the estate well.

How do you approach filming the Greek Loggia ceremony?

The Loggia requires careful positioning — the architectural depth of the columns, the open sky above, and the lawn of guests in front all need to be in frame together to do the space justice. We position one camera centrally to capture the full scale of the scene, and the other closer to capture the couple and their reactions in detail. The result is ceremony footage unlike anything we produce at any other venue.

Can you film the Zen pond and Temple for couple portraits?

Absolutely — and we'd always recommend it. The Temple and pond offer a portrait setting of genuine tranquillity and visual distinction. It is one of the more unusual and beautiful portrait locations we work in anywhere in West Sussex.

Is drone footage available over the estate?

We hold full CAA commercial drone permissions and will confirm access with the venue. Filming over 1,100 acres of South Downs estate from altitude — with the Greek Loggia, the House, the Stables, and the downs stretching to the horizon — is exceptional. It consistently produces some of our finest drone sequences of the year.

Which package suits a Bignor Park wedding?

Given the scale and exclusivity of Bignor Park, most couples choose our Platinum Package at £1,800 — two videographers, full day coverage, highlights film, ceremony, speeches, first dance, drone footage, and social reel. Many also choose our Diamond upgrade, extending the highlights to 14–18 minutes, to give the estate's many distinct spaces and the full arc of the weekend the screen time they deserve.

How early should we book?

With only twelve weddings per year, Bignor Park books exceptionally far in advance — often 18 months or more ahead. We'd strongly recommend booking your videography at the same time as the venue.
